Hello All,

This may seem a little unfair to people having just started with Phasmids, but would you all try and provide a scientific name when talking about a species. As Bug Nation grows, we are attracting members world wide where common names are different and confusion can arise. I also don't know many common names and I always refer to a species by it's proper, scientific name in my posts. So please make an effort to use scientific names and please don't forget to use italics :D

Thank you,

I think you're absolutely right Chris, but I also think there should be a glossary of common vs scientific names (as a sticky) to help those who are not familiar with them. It couldn't be complete as some species have multiple common names and some none, but I think a lot of members would find it useful.
