Right folks as you all know im not very bright with anything techie so last night when i got a mail saying .....
Quote:
Your web hosting account for bugnation.co.uk has been deactivated, as of 07/13/2014. (reason: site causing performance problems)

This deactivation was due to a Terms of Service violation associated with your account. At sign-up, all users state that they have read through, understand, and agree to our terms. These terms are legal and binding.

i did indeed panic :?
lewis come to my rescue but due the the cocked up files and contol panel we both feared it was the end and i didnt think i could get it back.
But i sat here for 2 hours last night and since 5 this morning and whoop whoop clever shaz fixed it and yes i did it alone

anyway the problem appears to be you guys anf your pictures mostly the sheer sizes your posting them at so i am afraid some of you might now be missing pictures although i did try take old pictures and ones that was non bug related off.
it shouldnt be a major issue long term but i am gonna have to look into changing how you upload pictures i think so please expect a few slight changes to that and also a few teething problems as i go through things.
If you do have a problem give me a shout and i will get back to you as soon as possible.
But also bare in mind i now have over 30,000 files to go through and move or delete or whatever and honestly i think right now i need a break as im sick of codes pictures and internet lol
but sorry for the downtime although even i have to say that have to be one of the fastest fixes and im pretty damn proud of myself lol

Ooh I didn't notice, I'll take down one of my pics as it really wasn't important :)

Well done getting it back  Hope it's not giving you too much of a headache :?

Wondered what had happened? :? .
Went on this morning, hoping to maybe see what the lucky folk who weren't working and COULD go to Bugfest came back with.
Gutted I couldn't go, but as a little sweetener, I have found something I've been looking to add to my collection for a while and also represents the first non-vegetarian creepy-crawly added. Photos (via photobucket, no attached files, so I don't contribute to any more crashes) to follow.
Well done for sorting to issue Shaz.....I'd have been :yikes: it too!

Hi Shaz,

Since the crack I am not receiving notifications from Bug Nation to my mail and the configuration of my account seems to be correct. Is that related? Am I the only one?

Thanks for the great work to keep this running!

Isaac

We do not appreciate/realize the amount of maintenance that goes into running a forum like this, so all I can say is thank you ;)

Ok thanks Shaz, mine are linked from photobucket as host, so hopefully I'm not contributing in any major way :)

I never attach pictures to post, wont it be better if members just post from offsite albums like flickr or photobucket? Both are free.

It's also much quicker to post photos from flickr, photobucket, etc if you have quite a number of them to post. :thumb:
