Another addition to my new aquatics collection :D
I have a group of 5 Thai Micro Crabs (Limnopilos naiyanetri), I think 2 males and 3 females.

These tiny crabs have so far only been dicovered in one river in Thailand and live on the roots of floating plants.
Not much information on the web about them, but apparently they breed totally in fresh water.
It seems that no one has raised the young past about 10 days in captivity yet, so the challenge is set!

The adults are only 1cm wide, so really tiny!!!
I have already seen mating, so fingers crossed that little crablets will follow :)

The babies must be microscopic! What do the babies feed on?

Hardly ever see these little ones, only really glimpse them at night with a red torch!

However, I think they may have been breeding already :)
Tank was normal last night, but this morning there are loads (I would guess 30+) of little white balls with legs everywhere!
Not sure if they are baby crabs, but as there are only crabs and sub-adult shrimp in there I don't see what else they can be :hmm:

Will try to get a picture later, but as they are only about twice the size of a full stop, it may be a challenge!!

Funnily enough that's exactly what they look like!
I hope they are crabs, as if they are something else I am going to have a nightmare of a job trying to get rid of them!!!
