I've heard that they tend to die rather easily in captivity, especially the giant green species.
This is possibly something to do with bacteria that they need for digestion being lost during transportation, or so it's been said.
How about the Tanzanian ones? Do they have a greater chance of survival?

I'd just like to hear some of your experiences with Pill Millipedes really!

Well i like everyone else had no luck with them and sadly it seems not many people do?
Im not too sure what we do that kills them when we try keep them in captivity? but im guessing this is something that is often a waste of time/money and a life when we get them and they die :(

There have been discussions here for years on this species and no one seems to be able to keep the poor mites alive. As I rack my head I think I remember reading somewhere that it's the lichen in their environment they thought they ate at one time and this couldn't seem to be replicated in captivity.

Do you have any spares?

I found 2 the other day and hoping to get a colony going with them but with only 2 I don't think much of my chances.
