Hi all
i found a few white mites on my Millipede. They have been there for a good week or 2 and they have not changed in number. Are these Bad mites or are they normal mites?

Ben

Mites are normal on A. gigas. They do a good job cleaning between all those legs! Not sure why such mites are not found on other species though. The mites will slowly increase in numbers. You can gently remove the mites with a soft paint brush if they bother you. But they are benifical to the millipede and will not cause any harm. And I doubt you will be able to remove them all as they do hide very well.
