Hi all
i have heard that you can put Woodlice and springtails in with A.gigas I have a few questions about this:
1) is it ok to put Woodlice in with A.gigas, are Millipedes going to be disturbed while moulting?
2) I have heard that Millipedes wrap their eggs in their poo so will the detrivores eat the poo and eggs?

Ben

1) it is OK to put woodlice in the same tank with your millipedes. I have had woodlice in all my tanks. The only problem is food supply. The woodlice eat the same foods as your millis. If the woodlice population gets out of hand, they will consume all the available food supply and baby millis can starve very quickly. Never seen any issues regarding molting millis.
2) True, some species do wrap their eggs in poo. But the woodlice have little interest in the poo or eggs. Atleast they don't if the regular food supply is good.
